Michelle Gopie joins Vericlaim in Canada

TORONTO, August 17, 2016 – Sedgwick and its subsidiary Vericlaim, a global provider of loss adjusting and claims management solutions, are pleased to announce a strategic addition to their growing team in the Canadian market: Michelle Gopie has been appointed senior adjuster.

Michelle Gopie has joined the Vericlaim Canada team, and is licensed in all lines of insurance. Her areas of special expertise include VIP and preferred client group policies, property claims, auto, liability and bodily injury investigations.
For the past 18 years, Michelle has gained experience with major Canadian insurance carriers and claims administrators and earned strong credentials and glowing reviews as an adjuster, analyst and advisor. Throughout her career she has fine-tuned her skills in customer service and her in-depth understanding of the regulatory landscape.
Her expertise also spans negotiation, settlement, cause and origin investigation, subrogation, auditing and on-scene support, including service as part of emergency response teams supporting recovery from national catastrophic events. She is known for her level of care in working with claimants, clients, insurers, technical experts, legal teams, government agencies and public officials to foster reassurance and resolution.
Michelle has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Ryerson Polytechnic University. She also holds the Chartered Insurance Professional Designation from the Insurance Institute of Canada.
