Peace Hills Insurance President and CEO named Albertas 2013 Business Person of the Year

Edmonton, AB – Alberta Venture magazine announced December 1, 2013 that Diane Brickner, President and CEO of Peace Hills Insurance, has been selected as the 2013 Business Person of the Year. Diane’s achievements will be celebrated during the Award Luncheon on January 23, 2014 at the Shaw Conference Centre, Edmonton, Alberta where Diane will be delivering her keynote speech, Competing Against the Big Players.
The Business Person of the Year Award is presented annually to an individual in the business community who has made an impressive impact on not only the economy, but the workforce and the people.
Diane Brickner joined Peace Hills Insurance at its inception in 1982 and was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer in 1990. She has successfully overseen the company expand to all provinces and territories west of Ontario, reach annual sales of 200 million dollars, and grow to approximately 190 employees.
“Diane embodies the spirit and the culture of the company, the family feel; she fosters the ability to grow and empowers our staff to move ahead and be the best that they can be,” says Kathy Boychuk, Chief Financial Officer. “She is well respected by everyone who knows her and we are extremely proud of her.”
