Toronto – The Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) is pleased to announce that The Guarantee Company of North America has increased its investment in the Broker Identity Program for 2010 and is now a Full Partner.

The Program’s centre-piece is the BIP symbol known as the BIPPER. The symbol captures the value that insurance brokers bring their clients: choice, coverage, security and peace of mind. By investing in the program, Guarantee supports a campaign whose purpose is to raise awareness of the value of the insurance broker distribution network.

Bob Dempsey, President & COO of The Guarantee Company of North America said “Investing at the “Full Partner” level within IBAC was an easy decision as it categorically reinforces our commitment to the independent broker distribution system within Canada. In 2009 The Guarantee Company of North America joined IBAC at the “Supporter” level and we immediately felt an up take with our Brokers. IBAC has identified in their strategic plans various national initiatives for Brokers across Canada which parallel our marketing strategies as a “Specialty Insurer” in Canada.”

IBAC Chief Executive Officer Dan Danyluk added: “In today’s world, this branding program continues to showcase that the best advice on insurance matters to Canadians is through a broker. Guarantee offers specialized products and its increased support contributes to raising awareness of the value brokers provide Canadian consumers. We are proud of their commitment.”

The mission of the Broker Identity Program, launched 22 years go, is to promote the value and professionalism of the insurance broker to consumers, insurers and governments. It is a branding campaign for over 33,000 insurance brokers.

Founded in 1921, the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada is a federation of 11 provincial and regional associations of property and casualty insurance brokers across Canada.
