24/7 Customer, a provider of outsourced contact centers to Global 1000 companies, has launched a new 1,800-seat facility in Chennai, India, as a part of its continued partnership with Aviva, the world’s fifth largest insurance company.
“The state-of-art facility is spread over an area of 200,000 square feet,” 24/7 Customer announced in a release. ” 24/7 Customer will be hiring over 2,000 professionals to offer services in life and motor insurance.”
This is the second facility that 24/7 Customer has established in Chennai. 24/7 Customer also has a dedicated, 50,000-square-foot delivery center in Chennai with a capacity of 500 seats that services other Global 1000 clients.
24/7 Customer set up a separate subsidiary in April 2003 to serve Aviva’s customers in the United Kingdom. In December 2005, 24/7 Customer launched a 1,700-seat facility in Bangalore, serving the U.K. and Canadian operations of Aviva.
The company says the launch of the second facility in Chennai is an integral part of 24/7 Customer’s expansion and growth for 2006.
“There is good reason for our significant growth curve,” said 24/7 Customer co-founder and CEO P. V. Kannan. “24/7 Customer has always been committed to exceed customer expectations and outperform consistently.
“Our relationship with Aviva is a testimony to this belief. As we continue to grow rapidly, 24/7 Customer will focus on providing its global clients innovative offshore services.”
According to S. Nagarajan, the co-founder and COO of 24/7 Customer, “24/7 Customer will continue to provide business value to Aviva. This new facility in Chennai will be an essential part of 24/7 Customer’s achievements. Chennai provides a huge talent pool of professionals, which we would like to leverage to meet the increasing business demands.”
Founded in April 2000, 24/7 Customer employs more than 6,500 professionals across eight delivery centers in the U.S., Canada, U.K. and India. The facilities support more than 7,500 seats and are equipped with state-of-the-art physical, telecom and network infrastructure to ensure smooth handling of more than eight million transactions per month.
