Alpine Financial Group has purchased the remaining brokerages of the Vector network, all based in Alberta.
The brokerages Garnett Dadswell in Edmonton, Dadswell Forster in Lethbridge, and Wiseman Coupland in Red Deer had been part of the Bow Valley portion of Vector, and were sold as part of Vector’s bid to pay off debtors.
“This acquisition is one of the most substantial acquisitions in
Alberta in recent years and represents the beginning of a new and
exciting phase for the Alpine Financial Group,” says president Ken G. Hughes.
The hub of Alpine Group is Canmore-based Alpine Insurance, for which Hughes also serves as president. He is a former Member of Parliament who once served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Deputy Prime Minister of the federal Conservative government.
