Prospera Credit Union, the fourth-largest credit union in B.C., has sold Prospera Insurance Agencies (PIA) to Westland Insurance Group.
“Our board and management determined that we needed to find a partner with the same values and culture around member service and who would provide options for career growth to our staff,” said Bruce Howell, president and CEO of Prospera Credit Union.
Established in 1980, Westland Insurance offers home, auto and business insurance through its 32 offices located throughout British Columbia.
Westland said in a statement it is committed to providing service to all PIA clients with no change to their existing insurance premiums or coverage through the term duration of their current policies. Westland Insurance Group will offer clients similar policies at renewal.
Prospera Credit Union will continue to offer life insurance to members through their existing wealth management and financial services team.
