Belron Canada buys Autostock glass operations

Belron Canada Inc., a Montreal-based subsidiary of Belron S.A., a vehicle glass repair and replacement company, has signed an agreement to acquire the Canadian glass operations of TCG International Inc.’s Autostock International Division, headquartered in Burnaby, British Columbia.
The transaction is scheduled to be completed in November 2005, subject to customary regulatory approvals.

Belron Canada has 230 service centres and 32 distribution facilities across 10 provinces. It operates under three retail banners – Lebeau Vitres d’autos, Standard AutoGlass, DURO vitres d’autos – and conducts its wholesale activities under the Vanfax and Technicentre Plus trade names. It also offers claims management services.
Autostock International’s Canadian glass operations provide services and solutions for auto glass repair and replacement under three banners Speedy Glass, Apple Auto Glass, Novus Repair and Replacement. With 260 service centres and 33 distribution facilities in Canada, Autostock International offers claims management services through the 1st Report Claims Services division.
