BrokerLink announced Friday that it has acquired three full-service insurance brokerages operating in Ontario – Northwest Insurance Group Inc., McGregor-Miller Insurance Brokers Ltd. and Gray Insurance Brokers Inc.
The three brokerages, which have a total of nine offices, will be integrated into BrokerLink, thereby increasing the existing network of Ontario offices to 78.
The terms of the transaction were not disclosed, notes a statement from BrokerLink, one of Canada’s largest property and casualty insurance brokerages. The three brokerages, which have a total of nine offices, will be integrated into BrokerLink, thereby increasing the existing network of Ontario offices to 78.
BrokerLink expects to enhance its presence in Ontario as a result of the three acquisitions, pointing out that the addition of Northwest Insurance Group and Gray Insurance Brokers will increase its presence in northern and southern Ontario, while McGregor-Miller Insurance Brokers expands its operations into the Niagara Peninsula.
Customers will continue to be serviced by the same brokers while the transitions are under way over the coming months, notes the company statement.
The transitions to BrokerLink will be aided by David Gray of Gray Insurance Brokers, Terry O’Neill of Northwest Insurance Group and Eileen Watson of McGregor-Miller Insurance Brokers, all of whom will be staying on to provide assistance with the transition.
Brokers see BrokerLink “as a place where their employees can continue to grow their career,” suggests Paul Meyer, head of acquisitions for BrokerLink. “The teams at these three brokerages are a natural fit with BrokerLink, sharing our vision of delivering an exceptional customer experience,” Meyer adds.
Established in 1991, the BrokerLink companies include Canada Brokerlink Inc., Canada Brokerlink (Ontario) Inc. and Macdonald Chisholm Trask Insurance. Brokerage operations include 100-plus offices supported by more than 1,000 employees across Ontario, Alberta and Atlantic Canada.
