Firstbrook Cassie & Anderson Limited (FCA Insurance Brokers) is among the Canadian members of the newly-launched Global Broker Network (GBN Worldwide), a worldwide insurance network with headquarters in Chicago and London.

The new “insurance ecosystem” currently has representation in more than 85 countries and is preparing for more growth over the next year, FCA noted in a statement Monday. Members include brokers, carriers, suppliers and underwriters in the insurance industry.

“Though the broker base is our root, we are very excited at the direction GBN has taken and believe that we have set ourselves apart from other international insurance networks by creating a multi-dimensional umbrella for organizations with interest in transacting the business of risk internationally without borders and at a click of button,” Jamil Bahou, chairman of GBN Worldwide said in the statement.

“FCA is delighted to be part of GBN and its vision.  Increasingly, businesses possess a global view and they need insurance advisors who share that perspective,”  John van Bilsen, chairman of FCA Insurance Brokers added in the release.

“With our experience in the international market, at FCA we believe that GBN is a key new partner for us to deliver solutions for both Canadian and global businesses, wherever they operate.”

Other Canadian members so far include British Columbia’s CMW Insurance Services Ltd. and Calgary-based Iridium Risk Services.
