Canadian Underwriter, IDT911 join forces for free webinar on cyber risk

Canadian Underwriter magazine and cybersecurity firm IDT911 have teamed up to offer a free live webinar on cyber risk.

The Risks & Rewards of Cyber Coverage webinar will be held on Sept. 15 at 1 p.m. EDT

The Risks & Rewards of Cyber Coverage webinar will be held on Sept. 15 at 1 p.m. EDT. The presentation will be approximately 45 minutes, followed by a Q&A session. The webinar will also be archived post-event for on-demand viewing by registrants.

In addition to discussing market trends over the last five years, the webinar will cover:

• Specific risk concerns for various industries;

• Potential coverage gaps that may exist in current offerings;

• Competitive considerations and program challenges; and

• Potential coverage and service changes that may materialize as a result of the Digital Privacy Act.

Nate Spurrier, senior business, development director, IDT911The webinar will feature three presenters: Nate Spurrier, senior business, development director, IDT911; Nick Cinotti (TPI, PAA), directeur prévention solutions spécialisées, Intact Assurance; and Robin Shufelt, AVP technology & cyber, The Sovereign General Insurance Company.

Spurrier (pictured left) is responsible for IDT911’s Canadian and EU business development efforts where he provides insurance product development services, risk control and privacy breach response services surrounding the risk of sensitive information exposure along with privacy and security breach incidents. He is an accredited speaker for Canadian RIMS, U.S. RIMS, the CPCU Society and a number of insurance agent and broker associations throughout the United States and Canada. He has a degree in insurance and risk management from the University of South Carolina and is currently progressing through the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters designation program.

Nick Cinotti (TPI, PAA), directeur prévention solutions spécialisées, Intact Assurance

Cinotti (pictured right) started his career as a loss prevention consultant in 1998, which established the foundation for his insurance career. Six years later, he was presented with an opportunity to work as a claims adjuster for an insurer that specialized in equipment breakdown insurance. Again, the frontline experience and technical aspect of his role drastically enhanced his knowledge and experience in the industry and helped direct him to his current position as Quebec region corporate commercial manager for Intact Insurance. Cinotti has obtained a fire prevention degree from the University of Montreal and is a Chartered Insurance Professional.

Robin Shufelt, AVP technology & cyber, The Sovereign General Insurance Company

Shufelt (pictured left) brings a wealth of underwriting experience in the field of information technology products and services, as well as cyber insurance. She holds an MBA from the DeGroote School of Business, where her specialization was management of innovation and technology. Shufelt specializes in underwriting and developing insurance products for the technology sector and cyber risks, with areas of expertise including general liability, property, professional liability, copyright and trademark infringement, network failure, privacy breach, media coverage and related products
. Prior to joining Sovereign, Shufelt served as manager and national practice leader, technology, with Berkley Canada as well as underwriting specialist, commercial accounts and technology with Travelers.
