CIP Society bestows leadership awards on six recipients

The CIP Society has announced its 2010 National Leadership Award Recipients.
The ‘Established Leader’ category of awards recognizes CIP Society members who have achieved sustained success through their demonstrated leadership qualities and the significant impact they have made on their organization, their community and the industry. The 2010 ‘Established Leader’ distinction has been awarded to:
•Raymond White, the retired president of Southeastern Mutual Insurance Company;
•Greg Thierman, Crawford & Company’s Kelowna, B.C. branch manager; and
•Ron Bouwmeister, a senior claims manager at Aviva Canada Inc.
The ‘Emerging Leader’ category of awards recognizes CIP members who, through some early achievements and successes, are seen as an emerging leader within their organization or the industry.
The 2010 ‘Emerging Leader’ distinction has been awarded to:
•Rob Bickerton, a senior underwriter at The Guarantee Company of North America and contributor to Canadian Underwriter magazine;
•Melanie D’Amico, a commercial analyst/training specialist at The Economical Insurance Group; and
•Mathieu Gagnon, a general insurance broker at Vezina Assurances Inc.
