ClaimsPro/IndemniPro announced on Wednesday that it has acquired Quebec loss adjusting firm Allen & Fugère Inc.

The addition of the Allen & Fugère team means ClaimsPro/IndemniPro now has 140 adjusters working throughout Quebec

Allen & Fugère has been providing adjusting services throughout Quebec for more than 55 years, boosting a roster of 10 insurance professionals, including senior adjusters and investigators, ClaimsPro/IndemniPro said in a press release. Allen & Fugère also has a special investigations unit, which works to identify and investigate fraudulent claims through preliminary interview and statement-taking techniques. “This capability both complements and enhances ClaimsPro/IndemniPro’s existing service offering, and positions ClaimsPro/IndemniPro as an expanded presence in Trois-Rivières, while increasing its geographical footprint within Quebec,” the release said.

René Paillé and Ghyslain Morinville, senior adjusters and presidents of Allen & Fugère, will “continue to provide the expert services their clients have come to know,” the release said, noting that Paillé will still lead the special investigations unit in Quebec and report to Suzie Godmer, ClaimsPro/IndemniPro’s senior vice president, Quebec. Morinville will serve as branch manager in Trois-Rivières and report to Pierre Boulianne, ClaimsPro/IndemniPro’s regional district manager, Quebec.

“I am pleased and proud to welcome the Allen & Fugère team to ClaimsPro/IndemniPro,” said Godmer. “Allen & Fugère has been the leading provider of adjusting services to Trois-Rivières since 1960 and is one of the most respected providers in the province of Quebec. This partnership will not only strengthen ClaimsPro/IndemniPro’s presence in that region, it will enhance our collective capability.”

Paillé and Morinville added that they were excited to bring their collective expertise to the company, and “look forward to combining our services with ClaimsPro/IndemniPro’s technological capability and geographical footprint.”

ClaimsPro/IndemniPro president Ross Betteridge said in the release that the merger has “strong significance” for the organization, as they have always prioritized providing comprehensive local and regional representation alongside the resources of a national company. We identified Allen & Fugère as an organization that shares our corporate values and philosophy, while providing enhanced services that complement our existing offering. Bringing in Allen & Fugère gives us important regional scale and expertise; when combined with ClaimsPro/IndemniPro’s industry leading technology platform, this positions us to provide the best products and services for our customers.”
