Commercial insurance clients in multiple industry segments can now receive tailored core coverages under a single package solution.

Core coverages include first and third party cyber, D&O liability, media management crisis costs, event cancellation and currency devaluation. Tailored for seven specific industry segments, the core coverages are part specialist insurer CNA Canada’s new oneworld+ product.

The product also includes distinct coverages such as event cancellation, currency devaluation and media crisis management, among others, depending on the industry segment. The seven industry segments are:

  • Commercial (including Canadian companies with domestic or international operations and exposures such as commercial realty, retail, distribution and customers requiring mono-line property & CGL)
  • Construction (HVAC, mechanical and sheet metal fabricating contractors, drilling contractors, renewable energy contractors, etc.)
  • Technology (including print and electronic media organizations, Internet service providers, software developers and IT service firms)
  • Office (Canadian companies requiring property & CGL coverage for their office exposures: financial institutions, professional services and business services)
  • Manufacturing (metal products, plastic and rubber, wood and furniture, etc.)
  • Oil and Gas (contractors for cementing, drilling, fracturing, pipelines, among others)
  • Healthcare (life sciences firms, allied healthcare facilities and providers, diagnostic and surgical centres and rehabilitation clinics).

In addition to core coverages, the suite provides customers with value-added services such as risk management, business continuity planning and claims handling.

CNA has locations in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec.

The product will be available in Quebec in 2019.
