CNA Financial Corporation has restructured its property and casualty operations so that field operations will be led from two regional centres Field Operations East and Field Operations West.
Steve Stonehouse will lead the West and Dennis Barger will lead the East.
The newly structured operations will help increase CNAs visibility in the market, leverage the structure of local branch offices and make it easier for agents to do business with CAN, according to the company.
Stonehouse recently served as president of CNAs former west region. Prior to joining CNA, Stonehouse served as senior vice president of the commercial accounts division for Reliance Insurance and surety underwriter for the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies.
Barber recently served as president of CNAs former South region and has held leadership responsibilities at Firemans Fund, Zurich and the Hartford.
CNAs property and casualty operations will also include:
commercial insurance providing centralized underwriting and service support to the field, including middle markets, commercial segments and risk control.
business insurance consolidates CNAs small business and CustomXpress units.
distribution management focused on disciplined, data-driven approach to managing distribution and establishing a visible, local presence in the marketplace.
global specialty lines responsibilities have expanded to include all foreign operations including Europe, Canada and Argentina.
