Dale-Parizeau L.M. Inc. and Morris & Mackenzie Inc. have announced the appointment of Jacques Bigaouette to the position of president and chief executive officer for both entities.
In December 2006, Dale-Parizeau announced the acquisition of Morris & Mackenzie with the formal merger of both companies being completed by the end of 2007, a Morris & Mackenzie statement says.
Effective June 4, 2007, Bigaouette will assume his new role of president and CEO of both legal entities.
He has been a part of the senior management team of Morris & Mackenzie for the past 5 years, most recently as senior vice president.
In the 8 years prior to that, he also held various management positions at Dale-Parizeau.
Commenting on Bigaouettes new role, John Newman, chairman of the board of directors for both organizations, said, Jacquess experience in the Quebec market place and his familiarity with both companies make him the ideal candidate to lead our combined company forward.
Once combined, the two brokerages will become one of Quebecs largest independent insurance brokers.
