Companies in parts of Western and Atlantic Canada that exhibit a commitment to loss prevention and implementing best practices will have access to new property and casualty programs for energy business from Energi of Canada Ltd.

Already available in Ontario, the energy programs are now being offered in Alberta, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, notes a statement Monday from Energi of Canada.

The risk management and insurance offerings will be available for “companies with commitment to loss prevention and implementation of industry best practices,” the statement points out.

Scheduled to expand to other provinces in the coming months, the programs will provide risk management solutions and insurance offerings for energy-related risks in fuel distribution, fuel transportation, energy contractors, renewable energy and alternative energy solutions.

“We are very excited to begin offering our programs in other parts of Canada, outside of Ontario,” Lilli Chiu, the company’s vice president of loss prevention and safety, says in the statement. “Our programs are designed to encourage best practices, mitigate risk and help protect companies in the energy industry.”

Calling the company’s expansion into other parts of Canada an exciting step forward, “we hope to continue our international growth and eventually offer our full coverage line to clients throughout Canada,” adds Tony Passarelli, Energi of Canada’s general manager and vice president of distribution.

Energi of Canada is a subsidiary and the international program arm of Energi, a provider of specialized insurance programs to more than 1,000 energy companies in the United States.
