Former ICBC president joins NAV

Former president and CEO of the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) Nick Geer has been appointed to the position of chairman of the board for NAV Canada.
Geer replaces R. A. (Sandy) Morrison, who is retiring after more than a decade on the NAV CANADA Board and after two years as chairman of the board.
Geer served as president and CEO of ICBC until June 2004, and had previously held the position of chairman of the board of ICBC from 2002 to 2003. He is also a former managing director and vice-chair of Jim Pattison Group Ltd.
NAV CANADA also announced the appointment of six new directors to the Corporation’s stakeholder board including: Paul Brotto, Ernie Caron, Jim Gouk, John Lawson, Pierre Robitaille, and Joel Whittemore.
Civil air navigation services provider NAV CANADA is a private sector, non-share capital corporation financed through publicly-traded debt. With operations coast to coast, NAV CANADA provides air traffic control, flight information, weather briefings, aeronautical information services, airport advisory services and electronic aids to navigation.
