Another former Marsh Inc. executive, William Gilman, is being investigated regarding his role in the Company’s bid-rigging scandal, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Former managing and executive director of marketing at Marsh’s Global Broking unit, Gilman is currently being investigated as to the extent he was involved in contingent commissions scandal.
Early in the Spitzer trials, Gilman was among the employees suspended by the brokerage within days of the Attorney General’s complaint filing.
Spitzer charges that Gilman enforced the bid-rigging and false quoting and allegedly threatened to discontinue all of the brokerage’s business with American International Group Inc. if they refused to submit false quotes.
Former Marsh officials have delivered seven guilty pleas of the 16 made to date in the Spitzer trials.
