Frank Cowan Company has announced that Canadian-based Temple Insurance Company (Temple) will participate on all of its insurance programs starting Jan. 1, 2007.
Temple is a member of the worldwide Munich Re Group.
Frank Cowan Company has been providing specialized insurance and risk management solutions since 1927 to municipalities, hospitals, healthcare facilities, educational institutions and other organizations providing services to the public. Located in Princeton, Ontario, it is part of the Cowan family of companies, which includes Cowan Insurance Brokers and Cowan Benefits Consulting.
“This is the beginning of a long-term partnership between Frank Cowan Company and Temple that will further strengthen our municipal and public-sector insurance programs, which require specific expertise that only a select group of companies have the knowledge to provide,” says Rick Purdy, the president and CEO of Frank Cowan Company.
“Temple will become part of an already-strong partnership of companies who participate in programs that have been offered by Frank Cowan Company for 80 years,” says Purdy. “We welcome the opportunity to work with such an experienced partner in this niche-market.”
Temple will join a group of insurance partners that includes The Guarantee Company of North America, Lombard Canada, the Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company of Canada and Lloyd’s.
“We are very pleased to partner with Frank Cowan Company, one of Canada’s leading underwriting agents,” says Ken Irvin, the president and CEO of Temple Insurance Company. “As innovators, this partnership is in keeping with our main focus, which is to provide creative solutions that match the ever-changing needs of clients.”
