Hub International has selected Applied Systems’ Epic platform for its brokerage management, the companies announced Tuesday.

“The commitment we made to consolidate onto Applied Epic is a natural step in our business transformation initiative by establishing a single view into our business with consistent reporting companywide,” Martin Hughes, chairman and chief executive officer of HUB International said in the statement.

“Applied Epic will enable us to manage our rapidly expanding global footprint as we acquire new businesses and strengthen our position to serve more clients worldwide in today’s competitive insurance marketplace.”

Applied Epic allows agencies and brokerages to be on a single system to manage customer relationships, policy administration and financial accounting processes.

The system also offers a comprehensive view of client information and internal operations, which Applied says allows “users to capitalize quickly on opportunities to build more profitable client relationships, increase productivity and drive business value.”

Use of the system will also allow for stronger business continuity and reduced IT support costs, according to the statement.

“Increasing consolidation and competition within the insurance agency market are driving brokerages to transform their businesses with systems that provide greater consistency and enhanced business insights to strengthen client relationships and drive business growth,” Reid French, chief executive officer of Applied Systems also noted.

“Applied Epic will enable HUB to increase its ability to quickly and proactively address the needs of its regional operations while centrally managing business growth with consistent processes across its entire enterprise.”
