Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) and its member associations have announced that the Elite Force-Best Practices Producer Academy will be offered in Toronto starting this September.

Now in its fourth year, the sales training program for producers is an intensive, 12-day program held three days per quarter, notes an IBAC statement. Available in English, the program covers the full sales cycle, from prospecting to data gathering and closing. It focuses on the critical skills needed when interacting with customers, including prospecting, identifying and communicating with different personalities, relationship building, negotiation skills, time and stress management and presentation skills. It also addresses how to establish, track and measure sales goals.

“Producer Academy meets the specialized needs of insurance brokers in ensuring the success and profitability of their business now, and well into the future,” IBAC CEO Dan Danyluk says in the statement. Best practices learned will “give producers a distinct competitive advantage when it comes to selling and serving customers.”

Guest speakers – insurer CEOs and subject matter experts – will help ensure that classroom learning is immediately reinforced. Students must also complete assignments quarterly to help them apply their new skills.
