IBAO launches new Web site (June 12, 2006)

The Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) has launched a new Web site, http://www.ibao.org, providing an extensive range of information on insurance topics.
Technically developed by AKA New Media Inc. (AKA Broker), the site is designed to be fresh, innovative and user-friendly.
A new feature on the IBAO’s homepage is the Industry News link found in the IBAO News and Events section. In partnership with Canadian Underwriter (CU), headline news topics will be fed to the IBAO site daily, keeping visitors up-to-date with current, insurance-related news.
When users click on a headline news item, a new window will open up and take the visitor to the Canadian Underwriter Web site, where the full story can be viewed.
Additionally in the IBAO News and Events Section, users can find IBAO member-specific news and updates and /or related information.
The IBAO’s new Web site also includes a new heading entitled “About IBAO.” This section was added to the site to increase public awareness about the association. It serves as a useful tool for informing the public about all IBAO activities.
A new, improved consumer section includes detailed information on General, Auto, Home and Commercial Insurance Topics. This, combined with the Locate a Broker feature, presents the consumer with a wide array of information. The intention is to assist the consumer in making the right decision when it comes to purchasing insurance.
For IBAO members only, additions and revisions have been made to the Members section. A very practical addition is the Broker Toolkit/Resources section, which provides members with numerous marketing support tools.
Also, the Event Calendar, found under the IBAO News and Events section, has been revised to include all upcoming affiliate events.
