Intact gains CSIO certification for eDocs

The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) announced Wednesday that Intact Insurance has obtained CSIO Certification for its electronic documentation solution.

“We congratulate Intact Insurance on receiving CSIO Certification for eDocs, signifying its commitment to consistency in standards implementation,” Catherine Smola, president and CEO of CSIO said in the announcement.

CSIO Certification is available to member insurance companies and vendors. eDocs is the first business activity available for certification, with plans to expand the program to cover other activities.

“Intact Insurance has actively participated in the creation of these standards with the various CSIO stakeholders. Although we implemented our electronic documentation solution more than a year ago, it was important for us to gain the CSIO Certification,” Denis Pouliot, vice president of information technologies at Intact noted in CSIO’s press release.

“Intact Insurance is proud to provide its eDocs solution to its brokers, which will make it easier for them to deal with us while contributing to reduce our environmental footprint.”

CSIO data exchange standards are company neutral and aim to help solve data compatibility issues, facilitate more efficient and seamless integration of information and improve implementation of technology solutions.
