Ironshore’s M&A unit establishes an Americas presence, names management appointments in Toronto, New York and Atlanta

Ironshore International announced on Monday that its global Mergers & Acquisitions unit will establish an Americas presence to “address complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions within the North and Latin American regions.”

M&AThe Americas team will be led by Navine K. Aggarwal, who will be based in New York and serve as senior vice president, head of Mergers & Acquisitions of the Americas. Aggarwal will report to Rowan Bamford, global head, Mergers & Acquisitions and Tax Insurance, Ironshore said in a press release.

In addition, the new team has named management appointments in its Toronto, New York and Atlanta offices. Andrew Stewart, vice president (of M&A) will operate from the Toronto office; Elizabeth Cunnane, vice president, from the Atlanta office; and Patrick Ryan, vice president and Aartie Manansingh, assistant vice president in New York. “Ironshore’s regional underwriting specialists join directly from Allied World Assurance Company (AWAC), where each served in various leadership positions within the mergers and acquisitions sector of the insurance industry,” the release added.

“Ironshore International is broadening its vision to build a truly integrated global mergers & acquisitions practice with experienced, specialty underwriters dedicated to the Americas region,” Bamford said in the release. “Under Navine’s leadership, we now have in place a strong team of professionals, serving domestic markets that are complementary to our established global practice.”

Aggarwal was most recently vice president of mergers & acquisitions with AWAC, responsible for launching and establishing its North American practice group. He focused on structuring representations and warranties as well as tax and contingent liability coverages for private equity firms and corporate-driven transactions.
