Kanetix launches mobile app for auto insurance quote comparison

Online financial comparison website, Kanetix.ca, has launched a new mobile app that allows users to scan and compare auto insurance quote estimates from their iPhone.

The free Kanetix Car Insurance Quick Quote app is a first in Canada, the company says, and is available through the Apple App Store. 

Using the app, consumers can:

• Compare quote estimates ranked low, medium or high
• Scan in car VINs for quote updates
• Save quote and vehicle details for repeat visits
• Get policy renewal reminders delivered to their phone
• Connect to Kanetix in one tap

The company says the app will be useful for consumers looking for new vehicles, since knowing how much a vehicle could end up costing to insure prior to buying or leasing could sway a decision and possibly save consumers money. 

“We’re very excited to be offering the first car insurance comparison app in Canada, and hope drivers take advantage of its benefits when looking to compare the cost of insuring different vehicles,” Janine White, Kanetix’s vice president noted in a statement. “Given the popularity of smartphones in Canada, we [at Kanetix] felt offering  an app that helps drivers get instant quote estimates for their car insurance was a logical next step in evolving our customer’s experience.”
