Mooney Insurance Ltd. and Rogers Insurance Ltd. have teamed up to allow both firms to better service existing clients and to realize new business opportunities.
The strategic alliance involves a minority equity investment in Red Deer, Alberta-based Mooney by Calgary-based Rogers Insurance, a Rogers release says.
I believe this strategic alliance means a great future for our staff, our clients and our insurers, Bryan Pobihushchy, president of Mooney, said in a statement.
Working with Rogers will bring increased capabilities to Mooney and will mean that we will continue to be an expanding presence in the Alberta market, he added.
The fit between our two firms is just about perfect, Lee Rogers, president of Rogers, said in a release.
We both rate integrity very high in our cultures, have the same outlook on sales, enjoy very good relations with our insurers and have compatible computer systems and infrastructure.
No changes in staff, insurance markets or management is contemplated as a result of the pairing, a company statement says.
Mooney Insurance, a commercial brokerage in Central Alberta, celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2006 and also offers a full range of home and automobile products and services, including claims services.
Rogers Insurance is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2007 and was named one of the top 100 employers by Mediacorp for 2007.
