The Government of Nova Scotia has appointed insurance industry veteran David Chisholm to the Waterfront Development Corporation board of directors.
Waterfront Development Corporation Ltd. is a provincial Crown corporation that manages provincially owned land along the waterfronts from Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford and Lunenburg.
Chisholm is former president of MacDonald Chisholm Insurance and has more than 40 years experience in the insurance industry, including as director and vice-president of the Nova Scotia Insurance Brokers Association.
“Mr. Chisholm brings financial and industry skills along with previous government agency experience to the position,” said Economic and Rural Development and Tourism Minister Percy Paris. “David is committed to furthering the aims and objectives of WDCL to redevelop and revitalize the lands surrounding Halifax Harbour and other property designated by the province.”
The four-year term is effective immediately.
