PPG Canada Inc. has announced that Lee Smith, director of Refinish Canada, will be moving to Strongsville, Ohio, where he will start in his new position as director of strategic growth and acquisition for PPG Automotive Refinish, North America.
Smith will move into his new role effective June 1, 2007. In his new position, he will be responsible for developing growth strategies to meet short- and long-term profit and growth objectives.
In his 25 years at PPG, Smith has held a number of positions within the company. The company said in a release that his in-depth knowledge of the automotive refinish industry made him a solid candidate for the new director position.
PPG Canada also announced that Brian Roberson will become the new director of Refinish Canada, beginning June 1, 2007, after Smith moves on to Ohio.
Roberson joined PPG Refinish in February of 2005, beginning as regional manager for the western region of the United States.
As director, Roberson will be responsible for the CertifiedFirst Network of PPG Canada Inc., a performance-based network of dealerships and independently owned collision repair centers that have met high standards for performance and customer satisfaction. The Network currently includes 168 shops.
Roberson and his wife will be moving to Mississauga, Ontario.
