V-NEO, a consulting firm specializing in property and casualty and personal insurance, has created an Innovation and Performance Centre totally dedicated to the insurance industry, to be headquartered in Quebec City.

Workspaces will rely fully on the cloud, enabling the sharing of knowledge regardless of geographical borders

V-NEO, announced the creation of the centre, called the first of its kind in North America, on Thursday. The initiative, which represents an investment of $5 million over three years, will result in the creation of a hundred jobs, mostly in Quebec City, but also “across borders,” V-NEO said in a press release.

The establishment of this centre will enable V-NEO to “maximize the sharing of its expertise and knowledge, enhance its services and design and increasingly offer innovative solutions,” the release said. It will also bring together professionals who can contribute to the achievement of organizational and technological transformation projects on a local, national and international level.

“The insurance market is experiencing a period of great change and transformation of its business models,” said Alain Lamothe, president of V-NEO. “To face these challenges, insurers must innovate, take a customer-focused digital shift and replace outdated computer systems with modern and flexible software.”

To strengthen its expertise, V-NEO partners with leaders in the software industry. In p&c insurance, the consulting firm is a member of Guidewire’s PartnerConnect Program, “offering a complete and specialized software suite, recognized and adopted by the majority of the industry.”

The Innovation and Performance Centre will host a “multidisciplinary team with various state-of-the-art expertise,” the release said, noting that workspaces will rely fully on the cloud, enabling the sharing of knowledge regardless of geographical borders.

Founded in 2010, the firm provides consulting services in business and enterprise architecture, IT solutions and the coordination of major transformation projects throughout the solution implementation process, from the strategy, selection, and planning, to delivery and value creation within the organization. The company has more than 90 professionals in three offices in Quebec City, Toronto and Brussels.
