RBC Insurance is offering a small incentive to auto repair facilities that achieve an I-CAR Gold Class Professionals training designation.
The company will add $10 to every repair estimate from RBC Insurance clients for vehicles being repaired at Gold Class facilities, RBC Insurance announced. The $10 allowance was conceived to support the continued training needed to maintain the facility’s training designation, and as a means to help ensure clients achieve a quality vehicle repair, the company noted in a press release.
“Offering an incentive for their facilities to become I-CAR Gold Class Professionals is a true display of the commitment of RBC Insurance to technician training and the industry,” I-CAR Canada manager Tracey Blouin said. “One of the frequent comments I hear from shops across the country is that it would be nice to have insurers recognize shops that have made a commitment to ongoing training.”
Glenn Penny, vice-president of claims for RBC Insurance, says: “We continuously look for ways to protect our customers and offer peace of mind. Ensuring they have access to properly trained technicians when they need them is just one example of how we’re working to achieve this vision.” The Gold Class Professionals program was created in 1990 to recognize those businesses that are committed to quality and excellence through training. A complete list of current I-CAR Gold Class Professional Businesses is available at the consumer web site www.goldclass.com.
