The Risk & Insurance Management Society (RIMS) has chosen a new executive director to replace Jack Hampton, who exited the position this past summer. Mary Roth, most recently RIMS’ chief operating officer was named to the post.
Roth has been with RIMS since 1985 in a variety of roles including assistant director of research and director of membership and chapter services. In 1999, Roth took over the role of deputy executive director, where she managed staff activities and headquarters’ functions, including working to RIMS’ budget and business strategy.
“For the nearly two decades that Mary Roth has been with RIMS, she has repeatedly demonstrated her leadership abilities and dedication to our society and its members,” says president Nancy Chambers. “We look forward to her leading the staff as they implement RIMS initiatives in the coming years.”
Roth is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and Columbia University Institute for Not-for-Profit Management and holds the Associate of Risk Management (ARM) designation. She takes over as executive director effective immediately.
