Royal & SunAlliance shuffles executive team

Royal & SunAlliance Canada (R&SA) has announced three executive team appointments, including: Shawn Desantis as senior vice president, R&SA; Steve Knoch as vice president, underwriting operations and information services; and Mike Jakeman, CEO for R&SA Greater China.
DeSantis, in his newly created role, will have overall responsibility for commercial and personal lines of business, including accountability for defining the overall portfolio strategy and value propositions for targeted business and customer segments, says an R&SA release.
Mr. DeSantis will continue to champion technical expertise and underwriting discipline while building strong relationships with our broker partners to profitibaly grow the business, an R&SA statement says.
In Knochs new position he will be responsible for all of the R&SA operations including regional underwriting and information services.
Mr. Knoch will be accountable for ensuring operational efficiency and productivity by effectively leveraging R&SAs technology and systems to deliver high quality service to the R&SAs brokers and their customers, the release says.
Before Jakeman accepted his post as CEO for Greater China, he served as vice president of commercial insurance and operations, and has spent more than 25 years working in the Canadian business in a variety of increasingly senior roles.
