Symbility Solutions Inc. announced Monday it is renewed a multi-year contract with Saskatchewan Government Insurance to integrate its cloud-based claims settlement technology into SGI Canada’s operations.

Toronto-based Symbility provides claims processing workflow software to insurance companies.

“Symbility Solutions offers an excellent workflow management platform and estimating application that is perfectly adaptable to SGI CANADA’s requirements,” stated Andrew Cartmell, SGI Canada’s chief executive officer, in a Symbility press release. “We are impressed by the level of responsiveness and product support we received from Symbility in advance of the product deployment. We believe that Symbility’s products will help us streamline our operations and provide better service for our customers.”

SGI selects Symbility

SGI Canada provides insurance in Saskatchewan through SGI, in Ontario through Coachman Insurance Company, in Alberta and Manitoba through SGI Canada Insurance Services Ltd. and in Prince Edward Island through the Insurance Company of Prince Edward Island

Symbility’s products include Symbility Property and Symbility Health, which are said to let insurers “collaborate across the entire claims processing workflow.”

Monday’s announcement follows a request for proposals and competitive review.

As part of the contract, SGI Canada will implement Symbility’s Claims Connect, a P&C claims workflow product “that will streamline the claims estimating process by reducing cycle time and increasing accuracy in all aspects of the claims handling process.” SGI Canada will also use Symbility Mobile Claims, a field estimating product for adjusters and third-party contractors using tablet computers and smart phones.
