Three Ottawa-area brokerages join BrokerLink

Property and casualty insurance brokerage BrokerLink has added three new full-service Ottawa-area brokerages to its network of offices in Ontario.

Baizana Insurance Brokers, Pentagon Insurance Brokers and Lalonde Insurance Brokers are based in Barrhaven, Orleans and Rockland, and Cornwall, respectively. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

John Baizana, current president of Baizana Insurance Brokers, also will be joining BrokerLink as the regional branch manager for the Ottawa area operations.

“The addition of these three insurance brokerages is a natural extension of our strategy to expand our offering to Ottawa region consumers,” Paul Meyer, head of the Ontario Region at BrokerLink said in the announcement. “The local knowledge and expertise of the brokerages and their staff will allow us to better serve consumers.”

The three brokerages will be integrated into BrokerLink, bringing that firm’s existing network of offices in Ontario and Alberta to 66 offices. Customers will continue to be serviced by their brokers familiar with their needs, BrokerLink said.

The BrokerLink companies, subsidiaries of Intact Financial Corp., include Canada Brokerlink Inc., Canada Brokerlink (Ontario) Inc. and Canada Brokerlink Financial Inc.
