Travelers Insurance Company of Canada announced Wednesday it has launched IndustryEdge, which includes custom coverage for several industries, including restaurants, hotels, wineries and metal products manufacturers.

The Canadian products, which target mid-sized firms, are modeled after those of its New York-based parent, The Travelers Companies Inc.

In Canada, IndustryEdge includes services for food and beverage manufacturers, metal products manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors, wineries, hotels and restaurants.

“This product grouping offers Canadian business owners a suite of products with tailored underwriting, risk control and claims services,” Travelers stated in a press release Wednesday. The firm added custom coverage “can be further tailored to each account.”

For wineries, coverage includes property, commercial general liability, auto liability and physical damage as well as liquor liability. In addition to several other categories of liability, such as directors and officers, the winery package includes property coverage for damage to vines, wine leakage, market value of the wine and contamination.

Coverage for the other industries includes contents, stock, equipment and tenant improvements as well as interruption of utility services.

For food and beverage manufacturers, the coverage includes non-owned detached trailers, stored water and electronic vandalism, among others. Optional coverage includes product recall, ocean cargo, equipment breakdown and transportation.

For metal products manufacturers, the coverage includes, among others: commercial general liability; selling price valuation on finished stock held for sale; replacement cost for patterns, dies and forms in current usage; interruption of utility services; and non-owned detached trailers.

Optional coverage for metal products manufacturers includes a peak season increased limit of insurance endorsement, equipment breakdown, manufacturers’ errors and omissions and hoist liability.

For restaurants, coverage includes walkways, sidewalks, driveways and parking areas, as well as ordinances or laws, including increased cost of construction.

For both restaurants and food and beverage manufacturers, the Travelers IndustryEdge coverage includes optional direct damage endorsements for spoilage, food contamination and infestation.

For hotels, coverage under IndustryEdge includes, among others, loss of master keys and key cards, emergency evacuation expenses, hospitality errors and omissions liability endorsement and personal grooming services endorsement.

Travelers sells insurance in Canada through both St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company and Travelers Insurance Company of Canada.
