Trisura launches Montreal office

Trisura Guarantee Insurance Company has expanded into Quebec with the launch of its Montreal office.
The new location will be headed-up by Jose Levesque, manager of corporate risk, and Jean-Franois Therrien, manager of surety.
Levesque is responsible for underwriting and marketing the company’s directors’ and officers’ liability, professional liability and fidelity products across Quebec.
She has extensive experience with both national and international specialty line insurers.
Therrien is charged with building and underwriting the contract and surety business throughout the province.
He brings seven years of experience in Quebec with the largest surety provider to the job.
In addition to opening the Montreal office, the firm has officially launched its corporate general liability package, with plans to offer property coverage in early 2007.
“Our progress in our first year of operation has exceeded our expectations,” says Michael George, president and chief operating officer, in a release.
With slightly more than nine months of operation the company has written a total of approximately Cdn$6 million.
Trisura also has offices in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.
