Effective immediately, Kadow will lead AGCS’s commercial insurance business in Canada, notes a statement from AGCS, Allianz Group’s specialist corporate insurer. Reporting to Arthur Moossmann, president and CEO of AGCS North America, he will be based in Toronto.

“Canada is an area of strategic importance for Allianz,” Moossmann notes in the statement. “Under Ulrich’s leadership, we will continue to provide exceptional service and support to our existing clients and partners and look to further develop our business interests in Canada in the future,” he says.

With an MBA from Columbia Business School, an M.S. in Computer Science from University of Technology Munich TUM, Kadow has served in a number of positions within AGCS in Europe, Asia and North America since 2006. He comes to his new post fresh from his duties as global head of Package & Multiline, where he established the mid-market Property, Liability and Engineering business in Canada, Asia, South Africa, Australia and Denmark.

“Successful initiatives such as the introduction of our mid-market Package & Multiline product, the start-up of the Entertainment practice, the creation of dedicated Financial Lines teams for Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers, and Errors & Omissions, and the solid growth of products in Marine, Aviation, Property, Liability, Energy and Engineering underscore our commitment to the region,” Moossmann says of Canada.
