What’s new: In brief (May 17, 2005)

Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade (WICC) Ontario Chapter announced that sponsors and golf registrations are filling-up quickly for its 6th Annual Golf Tournament to be held on Monday, July 18 at the Angus Glen Golf Club in Markham, ON. Currently, over 200 golfers have registered for the tournament, which can accommodate 288 golfers. In addition to golfers, WICC is looking for a few more tournament sponsors. For those interested in golfing (this year WICC is accepting singles/pairs as well as foursomes) or sponsoring please visit the event registration section at www.wicc.ca.

WICC BC Chapter has donated the proceeds of its annual Candlelight Ball to the Canadian Cancer Society, BC and Yukon Division. Since its inception in 2003, on behalf of the insurance industry in British Columbia, WICC BC has raised over $150,000.00 through the Candlelight Ball, with 100% of ticket sales and auction proceeds going directly to the Canadian Cancer Society, BC and Yukon Division.
