In a bid to expand services in Southern U.S., Hub International Ltd. opened a new office in New Orleans. Hub International Gulf South’s office of producers formerly members of Marsh & McLennan will provide Louisiana and nearby states with a full range of brokerage services. The next initiative will be amalgamating Hub’s producer team and customer service capabilities into the New Orleans branch.
Broderick (Rick) Grubb, managing director, will head the new office. Grubb brings over 25 years of underwriting, marketing, sales, risk and casualty risk management and communications experience. After joining Marsh USA Inc. in 1997 as a client executive specializing primarily in healthcare and casualty risks, he was appointed to vice president. Grubb has also served as director of underwriting and marketing at Louisiana Medical Mutual Insurance Company and as an assistant vice president at Johnson & Higgins of Louisiana, Inc. The new Southern Gulf team has also appointed Griffin Sole as senior vice president and chief sales officer. Sole was vice president at Marsh USA in New Orleans and prior to this, he was a military intelligence officer. Kim Plescia, will become vice president and client advisor, a position she moves to from her role as client advisor at Marsh USA.
