Peel Regional Police participation in Canada’s Road Safety Week traffic campaign resulted in the issuance of 2,100 provincial offence notices (traffic tickets), 109 license suspensions, and 19 criminal of impaired driving related offences. The national campaign, which ended on May 23, focused on traffic safety and the elimination of aggressive driving behaviors by motorists. Enforcement activity specifically emphasized impaired driving, intersection safety, speeding and aggressive driving actions.

David Simpson, president and CEO, Facility Association recently announced the appointment of Norman Seeney as chief financial officer, responsible for finance and accounting. Seeney offers over 25 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry, split equally between the public and private sectors. He has held management positions within the insurance regulatory departments of both the federal and provincial governments and within the accounting and finance departments of a number of major insurance and reinsurance companies. Seeney is a professional accountant by trade, and he also holds a BSc from the University of Toronto.
