Allstate Insurance Company of Canada has developed an alliance with LifeCall, a national provider of personal emergency response systems. Allstate policyholders are now able to access an exclusive, value-added offer for personal emergency response services provided by LifeCall. In an emergency, the system will dispatch the required emergency service, whether it is police, fire or ambulance as determined by speaking to the customer through a two-way voice communicator. Allstate is extremely proud of its long standing relationship with VOXCOM and we are very excited to be able to now offer our customers access to this potentially life-saving service, LifeCall.

The Co-Operators Group Ltd. has selected Guidewire ClaimCenter, replacing its current legacy system with the end-to-end claims management of all personal and commercial lines of business. Deployment of Guidewire ClaimCenter is anticipated to enable The Co-Operators to realise significant gains in process efficiency and build on its reputation for exemplary claims service, a Co-Operators press release says. The company also lists reduction in indemnity amongst its expected benefits. Our goal is to migrate from our current legacy claims environment to a modern claims system that will be utilized by all of our property and casualty companies, Rob Wesseling, Co-Operators chief information officer, said in a statement.
