Greg Knowles has been appointed to vice president, marine manager for Canada at CNA. In addition to leading the marine book of business, Knowles will be responsible for developing, supporting and executing new initiatives including construction and HealthPro. He has been with the company since 1998, when he began as an underwriting manager in the Calgary branch.
Michael OConnor is now the branch manager in Montreal. He joined CNA in 2004 as a senior underwriter. His appointment is a reflection of the strong contribution he makes to CAN, the company said in a release.
Knowles and OConnor will both assume their new roles effective July 2.

The acquisition of Hub International Limited is complete, pursuant to the arrangement wherein funds advised by Apax Partners, in conjunction with Morgan Stanley Principal Investments (MSPI), acquired all of Hubs common shares for $41.50 per share.
We are very excited as we embark on this next chapter in the evolution of our company, Martin Hughes, Hubs chairman and CEO, commented in a release. In Apax Partners and Morgan Stanley Principal Investments, we have outstanding new partners, and we look forward to working together to take Hub to greater heights.
As a result of the acquisition, Hubs common shares will cease trading on the New York Stock Exchange and the Toronto Stock Exchange prior as of market open June 14 and will be delisted from both exchanges.
