AXA is making available a comprehensive portfolio of customized art insurance products and related services to meet the growing demands of individual art collectors, museums, galleries, corporations, galleries, trusts, travelling exhibitions and artists in the Canadian marketplace.
AXA will be offering in Canada customized policies to insure objects in every active area of serious collecting, from paints, drawings and sculpture to rare stamps and coins, antique furnishings, decorative art objects, vintage wine, rare books to vintage vehicles and emerging collectibles.
Canadian consumers will benefit from the synergistic relationship between AXA Art and the various entities of AXA in Canada, the company announced in a news release.
The insurer said enhanced service benefits will be augmented by the proficiency of 50 art historians, combined with the expertise of renowned curators, appraisers, shippers, handlers and tax consultants around the world.

The Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) has kicked off the biggest and most ambitious injury prevention tour at Sackville Landing in Halifax, NS.
As we begin our summer tour, I am pleased to begin a unique partnership as a founding sponsor of Injury Free Nova Scotia with this cheque for $30,000, said Don Forgeron, IBC vice-president, Atlantic, in a press release. The vision, goals and objectives of IFNS are uniquely compatible with those of Be Smart. Be Safe.
The Atlantic tour will stress two critical safety issues: a crash course on how to avoid driver distractions a road safety concern to a growing number of Canadians and a focus on water safety.
