PPG Canada Inc. and the CertifiedFirst Network have announced a platinum level sponsorship renewal of WICC (Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade).
In the first three years of sponsorship of WICC, PPG worked closely with WICC and attended several key events that helped raise close to Cnd$3 million for the Canadian Cancer Society since 1997.
“We at PPG are proud to continue our sponsorship of WICC,” said Brian Roberson, director, Refinish Canada, PPG Canada. “Their commitment to the Canadian Cancer Society is unparalleled.”
Nancy Ng, insurance services manager at PPG Canada, also serves as a WICC board member in the role of chapter relations.

The Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) has appointed Richard J. Roberts, Jr. to the RIMS 2007-08 board of directors, overseeing the enterprise risk management [ERM] portfolio.
Roberts has been a risk practitioner for 20 years. He has devoted 15 years to progressive risk management practices in manufacturing and five years in the financial services industry, says a RIMS release.
He currently serves as the corporate risk manager for Ensign-Bickford Industries, in Simsbury, Conneticut.
“I’m honoured to be appointed to the board of directors of the premier association for risk professionals,” Roberts said in a release. “I look forward to sharing my voice in shaping the future of the risk management discipline and am thrilled to be a vital part of the society that I have been committed to for many years.”
