Jules B. Kroll, founder of risk consulting company Kroll Inc., will retire from Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. in July.
“After more than 35 years as a steward of Kroll, I have decided to move on and pursue other personal and professional interests,” he said in a release. “I am extremely proud of the team we assembled at Kroll and what we have accomplished over these many years. I leave MMC confident in the knowledge that Kroll is well-situated under its leadership.”
Kroll founded Kroll Associates in 1972 as a consultant to corporate purchasing departments.
The company provides a broad range of investigative, intelligence, financial, security and technology services to help clients reduce risks, solve problems and capitalize on opportunities.

CGI Group Inc. has announced the opening in Fall 2008 of a new center in Sherbrooke, Quebec that will specialize in emerging technologies, Web and application maintenance.
Sherbrooke was chosen because of the availability in the area of a large pool of bilingual students and skilled IT professionals, partnerships with local universities and CEGEPs and the proximity of existing clients, the company notes.
The company said the addition of Sherbrooke is an important next step in the development of CGI’s ability to deliver the highest-quality services and meet the growing needs of its global clients.
CGI says over the next two to three years, the Sherbrooke facility is expected to grow to include approximately 250 professionals.
