The Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade (WICC) has received a Cdn$1,000 personal donation, symbolizing the first WICC Tribute donation.
The WICC Tribute is an initiative developed by WICC Ontario, giving industry members a tangible and meaningful way to commemorate colleagues who lost the fight with cancer and to honour those who continue to live and beat cancer every day, WICC notes in a release.
Paul Martin of KRG Insurance Group made a personal donation of Cdn$1,000 to honour fellow colleague, Linda Hajekerou, who was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.
News of the donation spread and the KRG running team directed their sponsorships for the ING Ottawa Marathon to Hajekerou’s tribute. The team raised Cdn$16,500.

Xactware Solutions, Inc. and KLJ Computer Solutions have announced the integration of Xactware’s leading claims products with KLJ’s Venue claims management system.
Carriers and independent adjusters that use both tools can now enter claim information into one system and have it update in the other, according to a release.
KLJ’s Venue integrates with Xactware’s Xactimate estimating software and the XactAnalysis claims assignment network and analytical tool.
“By working together we can now give our customers an integrated set of tools that eliminate redundant entry and help save significant time,” Rick Johnson, Xactware’s director, strategic alliances, said in the release.
