What’s New: In Brief (January 12, 2010)

John Tagle has been appointed senior vice president of national sales and business development at ClaimsPro, an SCM company.
Tagle will be responsible for the augmentation of strategy and implementation of plans at ClaimsPro, leading sales and business development.
In addition, Ian Alexander has joined ClaimsPro’s special risks division.
In an insurance career spanning 25 years, Alexander brings a skill set ranging from amusement liability to commercial property and casualty claims, as well as pharmaceutical malpractice and directors E&O.

The Newfoundland & Labrador, Maritime and Saskatchewan chapters of Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) are among seven recipients of RIMS’ 2009 SuperStar awards.
Initiated in 2008 to acknowledge chapters with exceptional growth rates, SuperStar Awards are granted to those chapters with growth rates of 9% or more.
Recipients will receive their honors at an awards luncheon during the RIMS 2010 Annual Conference and Exhibition in Boston on Apr. 26.
