Chicago- based broker consolidator Hub International Ltd. has acquired the book of business of an Ontario broker specializing in commercial agriculture accounts.
The book, that of broker and producer Martin Kir, is estimated to produce annual revenue of US$270,000. Kir now joins Hub’s Leamington, ON office as a senior account executive, and the book of business will fall under The Hub Group (Ontario).
The acquisition was made for an undisclosed amount of cash.
“We are very fortunate to have Marty Kir join the Hub Group in Ontario,” says R. Craig Barton, president of Hub’s Canadian operations. “He’s an accomplished professional from a highly regarded insurance family in the area. He adds a valuable complementary group of accounts, particularly in the commercial agriculture segment, that strengthens our impact in the region.”
