The St. Paul’s company has appointed Bob Fellows president and general manager of St. Paul Canada. Fellows brings 20 years industry experience to the position, most recently leading Royal & SunAlliance’s Financial Solutions venture.

Lloyd’s of London has named Nicholas Smith as attorney in fact in Canada for its Canadian underwriters, succeeding Mark J. Oppenheim effective June 1. Smith is also president of newly created Lloyd’s Canada Inc. and was previously regional manager, Canada for the Corporation of Lloyd’s.

Denis Cloutier has been named chief actuary for Kingsway Financial Services Inc., the company announced recently. Cloutier brings 18 years of experience in the p&c industry to his new post.

Former Insurance Technology Advisors principal David H. Plouffe announces that he has joined Kintana Inc., a Silicon Valley based technology chain, as director of North American insurance markets. Insurance Technology Advisors will be “in hibernation”, Plouffe says, as he assumes his new position.

Technology vendor Mitchell International welcomes Bob Schachte to the newly created position of senior vice president of North American sales. Schachte was formerly vice president and general manager of automotive application services for Reynolds & Reynolds.
