Dartmouth, Nova Scotia – Four years after its launch, ZipSure.ca continues to receive accolades for its innovative approach to insurance. The company was awarded ‘New Product or Service of the Year’ by the Canadian Federation of Apartment Associations (CFAA) for its newly launched mobile platform that allows Canadians to purchase tenant insurance via their smartphone. The awards ceremony took place during the association’s annual Rental Housing Conference on June 8, 2016.

ZipSure.ca was launched in 2012, with a mission to make purchasing insurance a simpler process. At that time, Canadians were able to buy insurance via their computers. Now, with the popularity of smartphones, the company has launched a mobile site to make the insurance-buying process even easier. Its first product ZipTenant offers tenant insurance.

According to the association, the CFAA national awards program was created to recognize the excellence and notable achievements of landlords, suppliers and landlord associations in the rental housing industry.

In addition to tenant insurance, ZipTenant provides custom risk management tools for landlords to monitor which tenants have coverage and which do not. Landlords are automatically notified when tenants create or cancel a policy.
ZipSure.ca was previously awarded the ICTA Tech award in 2012 for creating the first customer-facing fully automated insurance service targeted at tenants of larger landlords.
